Sesame seeds are tiny, oil-rich seeds that grow in pods on the Sesamum indicum plant. The plant is an annual herb with foxglove-like flowers that produce pods containing the edible sesame seeds.
Benefits They produce seeds that contain protein, fiber, and healthy fats. Sesame seeds also provide calcium, B vitamins, vitamin E, and antioxidants.
Uses : Can be made into oil, paste, and powder.
